"Law and Order"

The universe and all that is contained within it is the result of law and order. "Amidst all the mysteries by which we are surrounded, nothing is more certain than that we are in the presence of an Infinite and Eternal Energy from which all things proceed," said Herbert Spencer. The starting point of knowing self is to truly come to know this Infinite and Eternal Energy from which all things proceed.

One of the most fundamental beliefs underlying the destiny or existence of man is the acknowledgement of the existence of our Creator, a Supreme Being. In all religions and in all times, man has believed there is a Power greater than himself. This Power has been given many different names through the ages but regardless of what you call it, this Power is the Ruler of the Universe.

My writings, as I have stated before, are concrete and practical. They are not my opinions, but rather the opinions and accomplishments of hundreds of the greatest men and women in the history of the world—men and women who have achieved the highest pinnacle of success in their respective endeavors. There is no surer way along the road to success than to follow in the footsteps of those who have successfully journeyed before us.

Since the turn of the century our greatest scientific minds have concluded that man and his universe are the product of planning by a Supreme Architect.

"We know today that everything in this universe of God is under the reign of Law; that every crystal is always formed exactly and invariably according to the same geometrical pattern; that every seed always blossoms out invariably into the same flower; that the tiny violet droops on its stem, not by accident, but according to law," said Dr. J. Herman Randall. As Tyndall says, 'the same law that forms the tear-drop moulds a planet.' It is all law. There is no longer any room in this universe for caprice, or arbitrary will; it is law, it is order throughout, from center to circumference."

It was Edward Everett who said: "Note the sublime precision that leads the earth over a circuit of five hundred millions of miles back to the solstice at the appointed moment without the loss of one second—no, not the millionth part of a second—for ages and ages of which it traveled that imperiled road."

It is difficult for us to comprehend the creation of a particle of dust, with all our scientific knowledge of atomic structure, much less be able to comprehend the vastness of the galaxy in which we live. We know that there are millions of other galaxies which, together with our own, make up the universe. It has been estimated that the whole universe contains about two trillion galaxies, each containing about one hundred billion stars.

The size of the universe is unknown, but the force that guides and moves the earth, the sun, moon and stars in our galaxy, and the other heavenly bodies of the universe, is known. These bodies move in orderly patterns called orbits in the same manner in which electrons move about the tiniest particles, as in a speck of dust, called atoms. Electrons and atoms are so finite that we cannot see them. The vastness of the universe is so infinite that we are incapable of comprehending its dimensions.

America's first astronaut to orbit the earth, John Glenn, compares these guiding forces of our Creator and God, to the force that runs the compass. Although we can't see, feel, hear, smell, or taste the electromagnetic force that guides the compass, we know it is there, and we stake our lives on the guidance of that force when we navigate upon the seas or in the air. Likewise, we should tap this source of infinite power and let it be our guide through a life filled with happiness, peace of mind, health, direction and successful achievement.

Everything in the universe and everything in human life, all is governed by law. "Law, not confusion, is the dominating principle in the universe," wrote James Allen.
